  • 1. Can I self pre-screen before filling out an application?

  • 2. Who needs to fill out an application?

    Any adult over the age of 18 will fill out an application and pay the non-refundable application fee.

  • 3. Do you run background checks?

    Yes. As part of your rental application, we will be requesting a complete background check which includes credit-financial history, employment history, rental-eviction history, and criminal background.

  • 4. Do you require a security deposit?

    Yes. The amount varies per rental and is equivalent to 1-month's rent.

  • 5. How long is the lease term?

    Leases normally run for one year, sometimes with an option to renew. Depending on the unit, we may be able to work with you on different terms.

  • 6. How quickly can I move in?

    We will work as quickly as possible to get any fully qualified tenant into an apartment. Your move in date depends on the availability of an open unit.

  • 7. What does the tenant portal do?

    The Tenant Portal is an online tool provided for you at no cost. You will be able to:

    1. Pay your rent online.
    2. View your previous and upcoming payments.
    3. Add your renter's insurance information (if needed).
    4. Submit and track maintenance requests.
  • 8. Why should I rent a Hilbert Haven apartment?

    Our urban style apartments are nestled in the friendly, peaceful Village of Hilbert. Highway access is close-by, we are a 10-minute drive to nearby towns, and Appleton is within a half-hour drive.


    Having an onsite property management team ensures quick response to your day-to-day questions or concerns, and addressing maintenance repairs very quickly.

  • 9. When is rent due and how can I pay it?

    Rent is due monthly on or before the 1st of each month.


    Rent can be paid online through a tenant portal by ACH and also by credit/debit card.


    Automatic, recurring monthly rent payments can be set up online or you can make a one-time payment through the tenant portal.


    ACH payments are offered at no cost to the tenant. Fees apply for credit/debit payments.

  • 10. How do I access my Tenant Portal?

    If the tenant portal is enabled for your property, you will receive an automated invitation to your email. You can also click here to watch a video on using the portal.
